CadWare S.r.L. was founded in 1989 to develop Computer Aided Design (CAD) solutions and products for Personal Computers. Thanks to the technical knowledge acquired in its more than thirty-five years of experience, CadWare has been able to make cutting-edge CAD solutions available to improve the productivity of companies of all sizes. The experience gained in the large company sector has allowed CadWare to offer a line of products, from the first Pj2 CAD System to the current BlueCAD 2.0, which, for performance and costs, is the solution to many needs: not only of the company or professional but also of those who, at work or at home, professionally or as a hobby, want to use advanced tools for design and drawing. Thus CadWare has provided CAD tools for projects such as the New European Parliament and the National Library of France and can, starting from these same tools and their evolution, make cutting-edge products for their PC available to everyone, from professionals to students, at prices that would otherwise be unthinkable.

More recently, CadWare has decided to invest its experience in a new product, BlueSol, aimed at meeting the needs of those professionals who design photovoltaic systems. In the creation of BlueSol Design, CadWare has poured all the technical experience acquired in the creation of previous products and all the knowledge of professional environments gained in years of research into software solutions that have simplified the work of many designers.

In January 2010, CadWare released the first version of BlueSol in Italian, suitable for designing photovoltaic systems in Italy, according to Italian regulations. BlueSol in Italian has been continuously improved up to the BlueSol Design 2012 version. From this product, consolidated and tested for years by many users, CadWare has developed the current version in English, suitable for designing photovoltaic systems located in any country in the world.

CadWare became an IBM BestTeam partner and an IBM Business Partner in 1995. IBM recognized the quality of BlueCAD and Pj2 CAD System: for this reason CadWare and IBM signed an International Vendor Logo Agreement in 1996. BlueCAD and Pj2 CAD System later became internationally supported software solutions by IBM.

The experience gained by CadWare since its foundation includes for a significant part, but not only, the CAD sector.

In this sector, CadWare has developed a system strongly oriented towards the development of applications. BlueCAD 2.0 was the first application based on this system. The fundamental characteristics of this system are:

• Complete set of drawing functions, which includes those of BlueCAD 2.0, already available.
• Easy and fast addition of new functions, which integrate 100% with the existing ones.
• Easy integration with databases, with the possibility of inserting user information directly into the drawing.
• Possibility of using the most powerful and widespread development tools.

The advantages compared to other systems are:

• Complete set of functions already available.
• Possibility of adding new functions on customer request in reduced times and costs.
• Cost-effectiveness of the solutions.
• Proprietary system, with consequent independence from third parties of the software produced.

With this system it is therefore possible to produce independent applications, which can have all the features already created for BlueCAD 2.0, and in addition the additional features for which they were designed.

This system was used to insert the CAD features into BlueSol Design, in particular in the creation of the Layout and the Electrical Diagram.

Over time, the need for realistic visualization of objects has increased, both for our own applications and for those developed for our customers.

Our long experience in the CAD sector has led us to choose the Eyeshot modeling engine as a platform for the development of 3D CAD applications. We have been developing with this engine for 15 years and have learned to know all its potential.
Furthermore, on the basis of this graphics engine, we have developed a series of extensions that allow the rapid development of prototypes and applications.

This system was used for the design and visualization of the photovoltaic system in BlueSol Design.

CadWare has developed, for the technical support department of a major company, a system for importing data from SAP data sources, organizing them, analyzing them in depth and representing them in easily readable reports, making extensive use of texts, images, graphs and tables obtained from that data.
These reports were previously created by hand, starting from scratch each time, with a great waste of time by qualified personnel and with the constant risk of generating errors.
Defining reports through projects and templates saved on files allowed their immediate production whenever the data was updated.
This approach has allowed this documentation to be produced automatically, quickly, more frequently, and free from errors, freeing up qualified resources, finally available to carry out other tasks.

This tool has allowed to identify in advance the most important items among the assistance costs during the warranty period of the products sold, obtaining a significant reduction in avoidable expenses and largely repaying the investment made for its implementation.

CadWare is a software house that deals with:

• Development of standard proprietary products, such as BlueCAD and BlueSol.
• Development of extensions for BlueCAD.
• Development of OEM versions of BlueSol Design.
• Development of applications based on 3D Technology
• Development of applications on order, based either on the proprietary development system or on other systems, at the customer’s choice.
